I feel the anger blaze and flare
Where lands are fraught with despair.
They linger in the darkest corners;
Large and frightful yet beautiful monsters.
Their eyes burned with defiance,
While their hearts sought vengeance.
The soil that marred their beauty mattered not
And its commonality hid jade for naught.
I sense what they felt under that graceless hide
When everything was never at their side;
They still won every fight, if you'd mind.
Even when it was their death decree signed.
The common and the fortunate wouldn't dare
To aid those that had always been fair.
I feel their beasts within rage,
And, at last, their immense courage
Gave me the comfort I seek
On darkness' tallest peak.
